Our Favorite NOCTA Releases So Far

Today celebrates the iconic rapper, arguably fashion mogul and Canadian natives 38th birthday. And If you know anything about Drake, youll know that hes had quite a few stints within the creative industry.

Lets cast our minds back to 2011 when the rapper launched his very own Torontoinspired clothing line OVO  ( Octobers Very Own) and in recent times Champagne Papi has proven that he does more than spit rhythmic 18s by inking a deal with Nike on his first ever collaborative venture AKA NOCTA.

To celebrate this cultural affiliation between music and fashion, we have decided to delve into the NOCTA archives to handpick our favorite kicks from the lauded streetwear brand. 

1. NOCTA  x Nike Air Force Love You Forever

The Uptowns wrote a love letter to the 6 when this dynamic duo created their signature rendition of the iconic Air Force 1 Low. From first inspection, it may look like your ordinary whiteonwhite assemble, but as you draw closer to the midsole, the OG Nike Air inscription is replaced with Love You Forever a nod to the kingpin's sixth studio album.  

2. NOCTA x Hot Step 2 'Egg Plant'

What may seem a fruitful interpretation of the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step 2 actually became sneaker gold. This year, the NOCTA brand presented us with the Eggplant colourway and weve never looked back. Chunky, outdoorsy aesthetic? check, vibrant glossy panelling? Check and a whole lot of iridescent 3m goodness it's top 2 on our countdown but not two in our hearts.

3. NOCTA x Hot Step Air Terra Black

From landing on Drakes feet during the Laugh Now, Cry Later music video to becoming a fan favorite amongst air enthusiasts, the NOCTA x Hot Step Air Terra Black took the world by storm. With its stealthy black perforated leathers, pairing its reflective muse with Nike gilded silver and NOCTA branding inscribed to the tongue and heels. 

4. Nike Nocta Glide Green Strike

Last but not least are the alienesque NOCTA x Nike Glide, and admittedly the duo are way ahead of its time with this one. Decorated in a vibrant green mesh base, the fit is equipped with carbon fiber panels to provide a futuristic look, while bold black detailing accompanies the lace chamber, heel and Nike Swoosh.
